Sebi extends timeline to submit comments on proposal to facilitates ease of doing biz

On Monday, Sebi extended the deadline for submitting public comments on the proposal to allow more time for disclosing litigations or disputes involving claims against listed companies. Initially, Sebi had issued a consultation paper on June 26, based on the recommendations of an expert committee aimed at easing business operations and harmonizing the provisions of the ICDR (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirement) and LODR (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations. The original deadline for public comments was set for July 17, but it has now been extended to July 29.
